If
you’re a new customer and you need packaging advice,
one of our packaging consultants will work on your requirements
with the aid of our renowned design team. |

Acme
features a state-of-the-art “packaging development
room” utilizing state-of-the-art CAD technology
to design your custom box. Specifications are given
to one of our designers, who can instantly access thousands
of variations to aid the creation of the requested sample. |

Once
you’re satisfied with your sample and are ready
to place an order, you may call, e-mail, or fax your
sales consultant or one of our customer service representatives.

|
Your
order is sent to our scheduling department, which confirms
the desired production and shipping date, then coordinates
the details with our corrugator and converting departments.
|

|
Scheduling
selects the appropriate paper from our roll room. Roll
stock is acquired from various paper mills in the United
States and Canada, and we always have a variety of medium
and liner grades in stock. |
| |
|
Medium
grades range from 23# to 40# and liner grades range
from 26# to 56#. We normally carry mottled white and
kraft liner, but can special order any color. Our extensive
inventory and our flexibility allow us to customize
many board combinations fitted specifically to your
unique packaging needs. |

Your
order is scheduled and run on a corrugator, which takes
rolls of medium and liner and combines them into corrugated
sheets. Heat and moisture are applied to assist in molding
a ‘fluted’ shape and starch is applied to
the flute tips to bond them to the linerboard. |

|
After
leaving the corrugator line, sheets are directed to
one of our converting machines, including six Flexographic
folder-gluers and three die cutters. |

|
Each
unit of material has its own bar code license plate
and is tracked throughout the manufacturing process.

|
Your
order is tracked all the way to your door. Our tractors
all carry GPS identifiers and truck location is available
in real time! |
| |
|
Your
finished order is then conveyed automatically into our
shipping area. |
| |
|
At
any point in the process, random tests may be performed
in our laboratory to ensure the quality of your order.
Some of the tests we may run include: caliper, edge
crush, ring crush, flat crush, pin adhesion, and basis
weight. Acme backs up its quality pledge with hard data. |

|
Once
your order has been completed, our shipping department
schedules its delivery. Your order is neatly banded
and carefully loaded on our trucks, ready to arrive
at your place of business when you need it. |
