If yo
u’re a new customer and need packaging advice, one of our packaging consultants will work on your requirements with the aid of our design team.
ACME features a state-of-the-art “packaging development room” utilizing CAD equipment to design box samples. Specifications are given to our designer who can instantly access thousands of designs which allow the creation of the sample you have requested.

Once you’re satisfied with your sample, and are ready to place your order, you may call, email or fax your sales consultant or one of our customer service representatives. Customer service then sends your order to our scheduling department. The scheduling department confirms the desired production and shipping date. The order is then scheduled through our corrugator and then through our converting department. When the order is complete and ready for shipping , our shipping department schedules your delivery.

When your order is placed, Scheduling will select the appropriate paper from our roll room. Roll stock is bought from various paper mills in the United States and Canada. We keep a variety of medium and liner grades in stock. Medium grades range from 23# to 40# and liner grades range from 26# to 90#.We normally carry mottled white and kraft liner but we can special order any color. Our extensive inventory and our flexibility allow us to make many unique board combinations fitted specifically to your packaging needs.

Your order will be scheduled and run on our corrugator. Our narrow width corrugators take rolls of medium and liner and combine them into corrugated sheets. Heat and moisture are applied to the medium to assist in molding it into a ‘fluted’ shape and starch is applied to the flute tips to bond it to the linerboard.

After leaving our corrugator line, sheets are directed to one of many converting machines including 5 flexo folder-gluers and 3 die cutters. Click on any of the following pictures to see a larger view, read about the machine and view its specs:

Your finished order moves down the assembly line to our shipping area. Random tests may be performed on your order to ensure quality.

ACME has recently constructed a laboratory and purchased state-of-the-art equipment with the capability of conducting a multitude of tests assuring the quality of the paper consumed. This laboratory now allows us to back up our quality claims with hard data. Some of the tests we are currently able to run include: caliper, edge crush, ring crush, flat crush, pin adhesion, and basis weight.

Your order is then banded neatly and put on trucks which will arrive at your place of business when you need it.
